  • 1st Company Governor's Footguard
    Organized in October 1771, the 1st Company Governor's Footguard is the oldest military organization in continuous existence in the United States.
  • 2nd Company Governor's Footguard
    An historical state military organization from New Haven, Connecticut, founded during the Revolutionary War era.
  • 1st Company Governor's Horse Guard
    Chartered in 1788 as the Governor’s Independent Volunteer Troop of Horse Guards. The troop provides a mounted honor guard for the Governor, and ceremonial escort to prominent visitors to Connecticut’s capital city.
  • 2nd Company Governor's Horse Guard
    First chartered in 1808, “to attend and escort the Governor in times of peace and war”, today's trooper most often rides in ceremonial functions.
